As early as 1985 Nationwide Boiler anticipated the trend of government agencies requiring the reduction of polluting emissions from boilers. To that end, the company initiated a program to convert its entire rental fleet to meet the emerging low NOx standards and to help end users lower their overall greenhouse gas emissions. The implementation of a comprehensive test program assures customers that the most efficient and reliable burner technology is used to meet these stringent requirements.
By 1995 Nationwide Boiler's entire fleet of rental boilers was successfully converted to meet the 30-ppm NOx limit required by the laws of most air quality management jurisdictions. It was the only company in the boiler rental industry to accomplish this. Today Nationwide Boiler offer units with NOx emissions below 9ppm as verified by independent testing agencies. The CataStak™, a post-combustion, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for package boiler, proven to achieve NOx levels as low as 5 ppm, was developed to meet even the most stringent air emissions requirements, thus enabling Nationwide Boiler to deliver solutions to users most affected by ever-changing air quality laws.
Nationwide Boiler's 650 HP high-capacity mobile boiler rooms and a 70,000-lb/hr trailer-mounted boilers were tested by an independent testing agency. The maximum NOx emissions did not exceed 5 ppm over the entire turndown range for either of these rental boilers.
In addition to offering standard packaged solutions, Nationwide Boiler can modify stock boilers to meet our customers’ specific emission objectives. We offer three packaged solutions geared toward reducing emissions, increasing efficiency, and - ultimately - improving your bottom line - CataStak™, E2Stak™ and EconoStak™.
