Blowdown Heat Recovery Systems

Nationwide Boiler’s heat recovery blowdown system has been developed to increase efficiency up to 2% and can offer significant savings in fuel and operating costs, with a quick return on investment.

During the blowdown process, continuous or surface blow discharged from the boiler enters the continuous blowdown flash tank and is reduced to 212F in the storage tank. Flash steam is vented to the deaerator to be used to heat and deaerate boiler feedwater, while additional heat is recovered by routing the 212F blowdown liquid through the heat exchanger and tranferring heat to the system's cold makeup water line.
